1. Zero-Tolerance Policy for CSAE and CSAM
We have a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The following are strictly prohibited on Mera-Meet:
Creating, uploading, sharing, or distributing any content that facilitates the exploitation or abuse of children, including all child sexual abuse materials.
Any use of Mera-Meet to endanger children, promote predatory behavior, or facilitate offline contact for abusive purposes.
Child grooming, including attempting to befriend, manipulate, or coerce a minor for sexual contact or for exchanging sexual imagery.
Sexualization of a minor, including imagery, text, or behaviour that depicts, encourages, or promotes the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
Sextortion of a minor, including threats or blackmail involving a child’s intimate images.
Trafficking of a child, including advertising or solicitation of a child for commercial sexual exploitation.
Any user who engages in or attempts to engage in CSAE or shares CSAM on or through Mera-Meet will have their account suspended or permanently banned, and we may report such activity to relevant law enforcement and child protection authorities.
2. Age Restrictions and User Behaviour
Mera-Meet is designed and marketed as a Sikh matrimony service for adults and is not directed to children. By using Mera-Meet, users must confirm that they are at least 18 years of age.
The following conduct is prohibited:
Adults misrepresenting their age to interact with minors.
Attempting to recruit, invite, or involve minors in any communication or activity through the app.
Uploading or sharing images or content that depict or appear to depict minors in any sexualized, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate context.
We also do not allow any content or features that encourage harmful or dangerous activities involving children or that promote negative body or self image of minors.
3. In-App Reporting and User Feedback
We provide in-app mechanisms that allow users to report profiles, messages, and other content, as well as to submit feedback and concerns about safety. Users can also contact us through our support channels listed in our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions for any issues encountered on the platform.
If you encounter any content or behaviour on Mera-Meet that may involve CSAE, suspected minors on the service, or any other safety concern, please use the in-app reporting tools or contact us as soon as possible.
4. How We Address CSAM and Safety Reports
When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE-related content or activity on Mera-Meet, we will:
Promptly remove the offending content from our platform where technically possible.
Take appropriate enforcement action on the involved accounts, which may include suspension or permanent ban.
Where required or appropriate, the report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or to the relevant regional authority in the applicable jurisdiction, in line with applicable laws and regulations.
We will also review related activity and accounts to identify and address additional potential risks.
5. Compliance with Child Safety Laws
Mera-Meet complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the regions where we operate. This includes maintaining processes to detect, act on, and report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the relevant local child protection or law enforcement authority, as required by law.
We periodically review and update our safety practices, enforcement procedures, and internal staff training to align with evolving legal and regulatory standards for online child safety.
