Mera Meet

Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using Mera-Sanjog, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the applicable End User License Agreement (EULA). Mera-Sanjog is presented as a Sikh community app that includes institution-led introductions as a limited feature, rather than an open member-discovery or dating service.

1. About Mera-Sanjog

Mera-Sanjog is a Sikh community app. The app provides access to Sikh community content and services, including the daily Hukamnama, Sikh history, the Sikh Rehat Maryada, Gurdwara and partner organisation information, and community events.

Mera-Sanjog does not offer open member discovery. There is no search, browse, feed, swipe, or profile suggestion function for members to look for other members on their own.

Introductions within the app are limited to profiles recommended through a Partner Organisation, such as a Gurdwara or registered Sikh organisation, and any conversation opens only when both sides agree.

2. Eligibility

To use Mera-Sanjog, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Be legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

  • Use the app for lawful purposes.

  • Belong to, participate in, or have a genuine interest in the Sikh community and related community services.

If an account is created for or managed on behalf of another adult family member, the person creating or managing the account must have that person’s permission to do so and authority to provide the relevant information.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account for yourself or, where permitted by the app, on behalf of an adult family member. You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account. You must not share your account in a way that compromises security, impersonates another person, or misleads a Partner Organisation or other users.

A Partner Organisation account may have separate permissions within the app, including verification and recommendation functions. Recommendation capability must originate from the Partner Organisation side of the product and not from ordinary member browsing.

4. Community Use and Introductions

Mera-Sanjog is intended to support Sikh community participation and, where applicable, institution-led introductions for Anand Karaj through trusted organisations.

Users acknowledge and agree that:

  • The app does not promise or guarantee introductions.

  • A member may only see profiles that have been recommended to them through a Partner Organisation.

  • A member cannot independently search for, browse, or discover other members through the app.

  • A request for introduction does not create a conversation unless the other side accepts.

  • Certain limits may apply to open introductions or conversations, as implemented in the app from time to time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Mera-Sanjog respectfully, lawfully, and in a manner consistent with the app’s Sikh community purpose. You must not:

  • Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful information.

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, defame, or intimidate any person.

  • Impersonate another individual, family, organisation, or authorised representative.

  • Upload, transmit, or share content that is obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, discriminatory, violent, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Attempt to bypass app restrictions, including any limits on visibility, profile access, or communication.

  • Use information obtained through the app for unsolicited contact, scraping, surveillance, or any commercial purpose not expressly authorised.

  • Violate the privacy, dignity, safety, or religious/community trust of others.

A zero-tolerance approach may be applied to objectionable content, abuse, exploitation, fraud, or conduct that undermines community safety.

6. Moderation, Reporting, Blocking, and Enforcement

Mera-Sanjog may use automated tools, manual review, user reports, organisational review, or any combination of these to detect and address objectionable content or behaviour.

Users may be able to report and block other users within the app, and reported conduct may be reviewed promptly. The app experience and safety controls are intended to support removal of harmful interactions and enforcement action where needed.

The service reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice where appropriate, to:

  • Remove content.

  • Restrict profile visibility.

  • Suspend messaging or introduction privileges.

  • Suspend or terminate accounts.

  • Refer matters to law enforcement or other authorities where legally required or appropriate.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content and information you submit, including profile information, photographs, and other materials, subject to the rights granted in these Terms.

By submitting content to Mera-Sanjog, you grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and use that content for the operation, safety, moderation, support, and improvement of the app and its services.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content, that the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not infringe the rights of any person or entity.

8. Partner Organisation Role

Certain parts of the app may be used by Gurdwaras or registered Sikh organisations acting as Partner Organisations. These organisations may verify members in person and may recommend a family or profile through the app.

Mera-Sanjog does not guarantee the conduct, decisions, recommendations, accuracy, or suitability of any Partner Organisation. Users remain responsible for exercising their own judgment and conducting appropriate family, community, or personal diligence.

9. Privacy and Visibility

Profile visibility and communication may be limited by the app’s design. For example, photos or profile details may remain restricted until required actions or mutual acceptance occur, depending on how the app is configured at the time of use.

By using the app, you understand that some account information, recommendations, status information, or profile details may be visible to Partner Organisations or recommended users as needed to operate the service.

Use of personal information is also governed by the Privacy Policy, where applicable.

10. No Guarantees

Mera-Sanjog provides community and introduction features on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by law.

No guarantee is made regarding:

  • The availability, timing, or suitability of any introduction.

  • Compatibility, marriage outcomes, family decisions, or relationship success.

  • Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation of the app.

  • The accuracy of information provided by users or Partner Organisations.

11. Account Suspension, Deletion, and Termination

Users may be able to delete their accounts through in-app controls, depending on the account type and current product design.

The service may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where a user violates these Terms, creates risk for others, misuses the community or introduction features, or exposes the service to legal, reputational, or safety concerns.

Termination or deletion does not necessarily remove information that must be retained for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate operational reasons.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mera-Sanjog and its owners, operators, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

  • Use of or inability to use the app.

  • Interactions, introductions, or disputes between users, families, or Partner Organisations.

  • Offline meetings, conversations, decisions, or outcomes.

  • User content, third-party conduct, fraud, misrepresentation, or safety incidents.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mera-Sanjog and its owners, operators, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

14. Changes to the Service or Terms

Features, workflows, visibility rules, recommendation limits, Partner Organisation tools, and community functions may change from time to time. The app’s introduction features are described as controlled, organisation-led functions rather than open discovery tools.

These Terms may also be updated periodically. Continued use of Mera-Sanjog after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction stated in the app’s legal or corporate information, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless local consumer law requires otherwise.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms, account issues, reports, or legal notices should be sent to the [email protected]
